What is a 316 stainless steel bright bar?
Stainless Steel 316 is an austenitic steel containing molybdenum, which improves overall corrosion resistance. This steel is also more resistant than SS 304, especially to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride conditions. When welding thin sections with this better iron, no post-weld annealing is required. It has high strength and can withstand temperatures as low as cryogenic.
